Description Scott Marks 2004-07-15 22:14:47 UTC
Hi!

Please find attached java-card-kit-2.1.1 ebuild.

java-card-kit is the Sun Java Card Development Kit, used to write Java(esque) applets that run on smart cards, e.g. the SIMs in Java phones.

I suggest dev-java/java-card-kit. This ebuild depends on sun-jdk.

Comment 2 Scott Marks 2004-07-15 22:22:21 UTC
Conversation with a friend who has some Sun clone boxes suggests that there is no reason to think this would not work on sparc -- it is supported on Solaris.

Also, I was unable to figure out for certain the license Sun wants, so I asssume (probably naively) that it is the one that covers Java.
Comment 3 Scott Marks 2004-07-16 09:44:51 UTC
Also depends on unzip, as the Sun download is a .zip file.
Comment 4 Karl Trygve Kalleberg (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-22 16:37:11 UTC
As you probably have realised already, this submission is on the back burner.
It's binary-only, with a dodgy license that prohibits mirroring, which means a
lot more maintenance effort for us.

We'll probably put it into our to-be-created experimental tree that will see the
light of day sometime early in the new year.

I'm marking it as LATER to signify this.
