kong console # emerge -pv =app-emulation/xen-tools-4.6.0-r6 These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies... done! [ebuild N ] app-emulation/xen-tools-4.6.0-r6:0/4.6::gentoo USE="hvm pam python qemu screen sdl -api -custom-cflags -debug -doc -flask -ocaml -ovmf -pygrub -static-libs -system-qemu -system-seabios" PYTHON_TARGETS="python2_7" 0 KiB Total: 1 package (1 new), Size of downloads: 0 KiB I found a workaround so I can build this package. USE=-screen emerge -a =app-emulation/xen-tools-4.6.0-r6 xen-tools-4.6.0-r6 was purged from portage weeks ago. with xen-tools-4.6.0-r10: app-emulation/xen-tools $ USE="qemu screen sdl hvm pam python" ebuild xen-tools-4.6.0-r10.ebuild clean install builds fine It appears this is triggered by having gnutls version of 3.4.11 installed. The build I did had vn. 3.3.22 installed. I can add version bordering to a next revbump accompanying known sec patches waiting in the wings. commit bc21ec5985e878110034366d860b451cf9102a2e Author: Ian Delaney <idella4@gentoo.org> Date: Fri May 20 12:39:15 2016 +0800 app-emulation/xen-tools: revbump to 4.6.1-r3 Add sec patch xsa-176 patch, re security bug Holding off revbump to 4.6.0, considering also purging Gentoo-bug: #583462 Also this bug Patch sourced via the bug #583462 resolves the issue over the gnutls version 3.4.11 . This is still present in stable app-emulation/xen-tools-4.6.0-r9, and is breaking Catalyst amd64 admincd builds. The admincd has net-libs/gnutls-3.3.17.1, so that's not the problem either. Please stabilize a newer version of xen-tools? Arches, please test and mark stable: =app-emulation/xen-4.6.1-r2 =app-emulation/xen-tools-4.6.1-r3 =app-emulation/xen-pvgrub-4.6.1 Target keywords: "amd64" *** Bug 580928 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Since the bug was confirmed, why is the status RESOLVED/INVALID ? |
