Most of the people who play games on our family computer do not want to have to press ALT-F2, and then type in "rocksndiamonds.sdl" in order to play a game like rocksndiamonds.

All that's needed is to put something like the following into /usr/share/applications/[game name].desktop

Because of the wonderful new XDG menu standard, this entry should appear in every desktop (but for now I think it's just KDE and GNOME). Of course, for most games, you would also need to include an icon (instead of using a KDE one as I did in the example)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge bzflag
2. try to find BZFlag in the KDE menu
Actual Results:  
BZFlag is not shown 

Expected Results:  
BZflag should be found in Menu > Games > Arcade > BZ flag
