In the near past I started to structure my USE flags a bit by building blocks of variables. I had a variable "SYSTEM" to store some USE flags which resolved to the string shown in the error Message. I just checked in the make.conf man page that SYSTEM is not reserved by the make.conf syntax. I have renamed it and mow glew compiles again. Now I am waiting for the next variable collision by coincidence ;-) Thanks for Your hint and I apologize for all the trouble I have made. Kind regards, Stefan |

Stop. Same error in all ~amd64 versions as well.
