Some packages are from overlays, some are from the official tree. But it occasionally happens even with the official tree that some packages get downgrades (if new versions introduce some serious breakage - but mostly just in ~arch). Questions like these are best pointed to the forums/irc. I usually run into this when I have some ~arch version keyworded and it gets bumped. If I only have foo-1.0.0 keyworded and that ebuild gets renamed to foo-1.0.1, all of a sudden my stable system wants to downgrade to the most recent stable version of foo. Anyway, I came here to mention that if you can remember, any of the sage-on-gentoo (sci-mathematics/sage) bugs can be assigned/CCed to Francois Bissey <fbissey@slingshot.co.nz>. |
