output of  %emerge -u sys-devel/gcc

At my tinderbox I run still sometimes into the situation, that sys-apps/help2man cannot be upgraded. IN that case I have to run "perl-cleaner --all" manually, which print outthis :

 *
 * It seems like perl-cleaner had to rebuild some packages.
 *
 * If you have just updated your major Perl version (e.g. from 5.20.2 to 5.22.0),
 * and have run perl-cleaner _after_ that update, then this means most likely
 * that these packages are buggy. Please file a bug on http://bugs.gentoo.org/ and
 * report that perl-cleaner needed to reinstall the following list:
 *    app-text/po4a:0 dev-perl/SGMLSpm:0 dev-perl/Locale-gettext:0 dev-perl/Text-CharWidth:0 dev-perl/TermReadKey:0 dev-perl/Text-WrapI18N:0
 *

therfore I do report it here.

This happens often, when I do setup a new chroo timage from latest autobuild and do run "emerge -u sys-devel/gcc" afterwards.

...so, that config.log mentioned in attachment 420960 [details]...
Comment 5 Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2015-12-29 15:03:15 UTC
It is easily reproducible, just do something as done in [1]:

1. unpack a fresh autobuild image
2. do few basic steps (set~amd64 in make.conf, select profile, USE flags ...)
3. emerge -u sys-devel/gcc

In theory, the dev-lang/perl:= dependency in the dev-perl/Locale-gettext ebuild should force dev-perl/Locale-gettext to be rebuilt against dev-lang/perl:0/5.22 before help2man. However, bug 463976 cause the emerge to get the order wrong. So, we can consider this as a duplicate of bug 463976.
