And more on the topic of uchardet support in general. Rion, Nikoli are you planning to continue actively support this ebuild in Gentoo? it's SRC_URI that should be changed. current version is 0.0.5 we have just bump ebuild. (In reply to Rion from comment #2) > it's SRC_URI that should be changed. Yes, you are right. Sorry, my mistake. (In reply to Rion from comment #2) > current version is 0.0.5 we have just bump ebuild. Yes, please. There is a separate bug for that: bug #569110 We still need a clearly stilpulated new SRC_URI. Is it sourced form the HOMEPAGE https://github.com/BYVoid/ or is it mirrored from github? commit f4de20e040412a6b55569b3be26fd54bb789120d Author: Ilya Tumaykin <itumaykin@gmail.com> Date: Mon Jan 25 11:03:06 2016 +0300 dev-libs/uchardet: verbump to 0.0.5 wrt bug 569110 List of changes: - update SRC_URI to follow the upstream's migration from googlecode to github wrt bug 569106; - proper static-libs USE handling via configure option; - add testing support to ebuild; - drop unneeded empty DEPEND/RDEPEND; - sync DESCRIPTION with upstream. Gentoo-Bugs: 569106, 569110 Package-Manager: portage-2.2.27 Rion, you've not acted in any way on this bug, except for your initial comment. Can you please give a straight answer whether you are planning to participate in uchardet maintaining or not? I am not planning. I honestly don't understand all this proxy-maintaning stuff. And I don't remember why I was agreed at all. Putting ebuilds into personal overlay is much easier. (In reply to Rion from comment #9) > I am not planning. I honestly don't understand all this proxy-maintaning > stuff. > And I don't remember why I was agreed at all. Putting ebuilds into personal > overlay is much easier. I see. If you are interested, the general info can be found at https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Proxy_Maintainers. Key differences of proxy-maintaining compared to personal overlay are: sharing your work with the rest of the Gentoo community in a more standardized and 'official' manner, and support from Gentoo devs when you need it. |
