Maby like #52699
Im working with Kernel 2.6.3-gentoo-r1, binutils 2.14.90.0.8-r1, modultils 2.4.25, gcc 3.3.1

When I try to compile linux-2.6.7-gentoo-*, i get a error:
make oldconfig
make bzImage
[...]
  CC init/version.o
  LD init/built-in.o
  LD .tmp_vmlinux1
make: *** [.tmp_vmlinux1] Error 139
[...]

Hardware ist an Centrino Laptop.
What can I do to help fixing this bug?

Thanks, AXEL.

This appears to be the same problem as #52699, so I'm marking it as a duplicate. Before a real solution is found, you could try:
a) upgrading your gcc
b) degrading binutils to a previous version.

Upgrading of gcc means to what version?
