Description aditsu 2015-12-13 09:24:54 UTC
I'm trying to use KWallet, but after choosing a password for the wallet, it's asking me again to choose a password for the wallet, which I don't understand at all. Please refer to the provided URL for more details (including screenshots).
I'm not sure if this is a bug or just a misunderstanding, but I couldn't get a clear answer anywhere else.

I also posted this at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356159
I'm using KDE 4.14

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. With kwallet unconfigured, start an application that wants to use kwallet (the setup dialog pops up)
2. Click "Next" (using the basic setup)
3. Enable kwallet and choose a password; click "Finish"
Actual Results:
It's asking me again to choose a password

Expected Results:
Let me start using kwallet

I doubt that this is an packaging issue. You could try with newer version if this still happen and update the upstream bug. But we can't do anything about the application behaviour.

Well, I was told that KDE 4 was no longer supported upstream, but Gentoo still supported it. Anyway, I gave up on krfb (for which I wanted to use kwallet), NoMachine is much better.
