You need to add in the two other pam related files into the files directory, then re-create the manifest. I got all three required files from http://gentoo-overlays.zugaina.org/kde/kde-plasma.html.en Indeed, those files do the trick. Thank you for your help, Jonathan! I suggest the files are added to the ebuild instructions. Created attachment 418800 [details] output of emerge kde-plasma/kdescreenlocker-5.5 I'm currently running KDE Plasma 5.4.3 and just tried to upgrade to KDE Plasma 5.5. Unfortunately, I cannot build kde-plasma/kscreenlocker-5.5 with the attached message (build.log). If I try to manipulate the portage build files by creating a folder /usr/portage/kde-plasma/kscreenlocker/files, putting the required patch file there and running repoman manifest, there is an error applying the patch. In general, I never modify the portage build files by myself, so I wouldn't proceed even it would help.
