I'm working on it. However, I'd like to use this opportunity to clean up the ebuild; this might take some time. Perhaps I'll come around to committing it this weekend.

I've prepared an ebuild for nethack-3.6.0 and just submitted it via pull request: https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/566

Until it gets merged, I've also added the ebuild to my public overlay (spiderlay). If you find any bugs, please comment here.
