Description Chris Bruner 2004-07-11 20:41:09 UTC
I've spent the last few months with a problem of upgrading that failed due to ant failing. "Some input files use or override a deprecated API"

After searching on the forums I found
java-config -X
which fixed the problem which was totally unrelated to the error code.
Could the emerge be modified to say that the emerge failes, to try java-config -X which will clean-system-classpath.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

2.
3.

I just realized that my request was badly worded. It should have said:
Could the emerge be modified to say (if the emerge fails)
"for a possible solution try \"java-config -X\" which will clean-system-classpath.

the ant ebuild now ignores the CLASSPATH, so it should always work
