After dcom98.exe installation, wine-pthread process will not return.  Makes it impossible to install dcom98.exe or dcom95.exe, which is necessary for installation of many other applications.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Edit /usr/bin/wine script to use wine-pthread
2. download dcom98.exe from: http://www.microsoft.com/com/dcom/dcom98/download.asp
3. run:  WINEDLLOVERRIDES="ole32=n" wine dcom98.exe
4. Click "OK" when asked to install.

Actual Results:  
Installation will proceed, and after the install gui closes, wine process hangs
and will not return to console.

Expected Results:  
Wine process should complete and return control to the console upon completion
of the installation.

just a clarification:

Wine will hang upon the completion of the extraction of the dcom98 files.. it never gets to the installation part, only the extraction of the files completes and then wine hangs.

20040716 fixed this problem for me.  My system is very similar to the one described in the first post. (2.6.x kernel w/ nptl)
