I'm sure this is a bug that you're already aware of, considering it's been reported upstream here: https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/501

Wanted to file a bug on gentoo's tracker so other people don't have to wonder if it's a known issue.

Upstream has committed a fix for this: https://github.com/sddm/sddm/commit/6d5b36b28907b16280ff78995fef764bb0c573db

Still no release with the fix, but yeah if you're willing, a backport would be great.

FYI I have tested this patch and it applies cleanly to our x11-misc/sddm-0.13.0-r3 and it seems to fix the focus issue.  Thanks EAPI6 & eapply_user!
