media-libs/ebg and media-libs/ebits (libs for e17) are depricated and have been replaced by an other lib (edje). The x11-wm/e ebuild should not install them.  media-gfx/ebony is the only app depending on ebg and should be removed as its purpose is creating ebg files. The only apps that depend on ebits are  media-gfx/etcher (tool for creating ebits files), x11-misc/ebindings, x11-misc/med. All these apps are currently useless and I seriously doubt they can be built.

As an aside, a confused gentoo user recently istalled ebg thinking it was necessary for changing the background of e16, which is what prompted me to file this report.

Obviously this is low priority, but I see no reason to keep those libs/apps around.

x11-wm/e has to install ebits/ebg/etc... because it still uses them

it hasnt been updated to the next gen of e17 libraries ... e will fail to compile because of this, but etcher/ebony/ebindings/med should still work fine

due to the fact that they are quite old and havent been updated in a while, i'll go ahead and punt them for now and wait until they get rewritten with the new libraries
