libgpod master includes a patch against a known segmentation fault in Gentoo bugzilla (see bug #531224). Since there is no sign of a new release of libgpod (2 commits since latest release 2 years ago), could you please include this patch: http://sourceforge.net/p/gtkpod/bugs/323/

I successfully tested this patch in my local overlay, it indeed fixes the crash.
