looks like bug 558150 , can you check if USE="-system-cairo" helps and/or layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled being set to false in about:config ?

Yes I rebuilt firefox with -system-cairo like all good
layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled true is default
