Does merging x11-libs/libXaw3d with USE unicode fix this issue for you? (In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #13) no then I don't know why it doesn't build for you :/ What locales are you using for building? Maybe choosing an UTF8 could help :/ *today* it builds fine at 5 different images got at the unstable amd64 chroot image 17.0-systemd_libressl-test_20180117-213341 this : xxX.cc:553:5: error: Xaw3dXftEncoding was not declared in this scope Created attachment 516226 [details]

It seems it's missing x11-libs/libXft, also it needs x11-libs/libXaw3d[unicode] or it fails at configure step You can try to see if it compiles with both The bug has been closed via the following commit(s): https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=bbb446248a266ea5de790a0962891a62bd1a0cda commit bbb446248a266ea5de790a0962891a62bd1a0cda Author: Pacho Ramos <pacho@gentoo.org> AuthorDate: 2018-10-13 16:46:58 +0000 Commit: Pacho Ramos <pacho@gentoo.org> CommitDate: 2018-10-13 16:46:58 +0000 sci-geosciences/xtide: Bump to 2.15.1, fix deps (#563418) Closes: https://bugs.gentoo.org/563418 Signed-off-by: Pacho Ramos <pacho@gentoo.org> Package-Manager: Portage-2.3.51, Repoman-2.3.11 sci-geosciences/xtide/Manifest | 1 + sci-geosciences/xtide/xtide-2.15.1.ebuild | 51 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 2 files changed, 52 insertions(+) |
