I noticed that on my last emerge sync that autoprofile 2.07 was removed from portage. Was it supposed to be removed? Changelog says:

  28 Jun 2004; Don Seiler <rizzo@gentoo.org> -autoprofile-2.07.ebuild:
  Removing old files for gaim pruning

but 2.07 is more recent than 2.04 ebuild.

Yes it was because it will only work with gaim-0.78, which was removed.  The author of autoprofile has not released a version that will work with 0.79.

I had autoprofile-2.07 working with gaim-0.79 before. I emerge sync'ed and then I had all these problems with gaim that I later found out was due to autoprofile-2.07 being removed from portage.

hmm my mistake.  I'm readding this now.  For some reason I swore it wasn't building.
