![]() well, upstream dropped wxwidgets support in 8.4.0, can we wait for this one ? Ah, that is another option too :) if you don't mind waiting a few weeks, I'd prefer it that way: I imagine upstream dropped the wxwidgets gui because it was not maintained Sure, there are still plenty of packages to move to wxGTK3 and, then, we can wait for sure As a side note, I have seen you are still setting WX_GTK_VER="3.0" in all new ebuilds even if it should not be needed :) [master e4c867b] media-video/mkvtoolnix: Drop unneeded WX variable (#562484#c5) 1 file changed, 1 deletion(-) We are near to 30 days since 8.5.2 bump... could we stabilize that version then? Thanks yep, go ahead amd64 : ok (builds, runs) amd64 stable I ran in a not new problem, described here: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-7854234.html The post is marked as [SOLVED], but I really don't understand how is it solved. Also, I cannot find the announced bug. Many details in the forum post. Regards, HUjuice My issue is resolved with echo dev-libs/boost abi_x86_32 >> /etc/portage/package.use Even if it is unusual for machines where folks install mkvtoolnix (usually desktops, full of multilib needs), the machine where I encountered the issue didn't have any abi_x86_32 enabled packages. Giving the multilib support for boost (and other packages correctly advised by --autounmask) resolved the issue. I think that it should managed as and ebuild bug. Regards x86 stable ppc stable.
