I used the 4.9.12-r1 ebuild and changed only the name of the patch to compile with gcc3.4 (see file above)

Lot of junk in that patch. Object files... Anyway, 4.10.0 should get out there.  gAIM has already been promoted to ARCH, centericq should at least be in ~ARCH - this version restores Yahoo!

Regarding renaming patch file.
I renamed 4.9.12 to 4.11.0  and just got rid of the patches.
Seems to work fine.
Please, someone pay attention to this bug - 4.9.12 has broken Yahoo! support that 4.10 and 4.11 fix.

centericq 4.11.0 doesn't compile without a patch for gcc 3.4... I've not tried the attached patch yet, but will do so tonight.

I'm closing this one. For the gcc-3.4 issue please post to bug #65791. 4.12.0 is in portage.
