Maybe a >=texinfo-5.1 breakage? (tracker bug 464362) I'm getting the same problem. I've figured out that line 2975: @documentencoding ISO-8859-1 is causing the issue. Gleaning the texinfo documentation, this parameter should be near the top, but after @setfilename . I'm submitting a patch that fixes this, but someone with better knowledge of the format should confirm this. Created attachment 415322 [details, diff]
