ebuild could use the gnome2 eclass more extensively I am very naieve of how ebuilds work, but I notices that the author has his own ebuilds. http://home.jesus.ox.ac.uk/~ecatmur/brightside/#TOCdownloading To me they looked fairly empty but you guys should look at them maybe? Further ebuilds from the author can be found here: http://catmur.co.uk/gentoo/trees/capella.catmur.co.uk/gnome-extra/brightside/ how can this ebuild be added to the portage tree? There are some issues with the ebuild : - The source package is not available from the authors homepage at the moment. - Furthermore a patch which can be found here http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/ports/x11/brightside/files/patch-src_brightside.c has to be applied for use with at least libwnck 2.14. Does anyone know if the project is still alive? I've added the ebuild to my overlay. To me it seems that the project is dead, so I expect that it stays in my overlay for good. Dead project, not a candidate for official portage. |
