Bug 55842 – distcc & QT, pc overload

Hi all,
some minutes ago I noticed that compiling QT-3.3.2 with distcc is not possible.
After some lines of gcc, I get a "running locally, can't establish connection to 192.168.1.x, no route to host". Pc that reports this error become unusable because of 100% cpu usage, that lasts even after killing distccd and gcc/emerge, other machines are running fine anyway.
Until now this is happening only with QT, no other packages seems to be affected, dunno why :/
I reproduced this bug for three times, each time after a fresh reboot :)

distcc version(s) involved, gcc versions?
emerge info of the distcc master system also please.

Distcc is version 2.14 on each machine.

I compile qt here with distcc and 4 machines just fine, so it seems like this may be a local issue.

The same here, but I can't compile QT... Btw if this is a local issue, I think we can close this bug.

yes, it's a local issue on your end if it can't connect to the distcc hosts.
