There is a new integration mechanism between Telepathy and signon coming up with KDE Applications 15.08. I have been building KTp from live packages and did not see this working last time I tried. I have been working to get this working so I will create a couple of bugs related to the specific things I did.

I have kde-apps 15.08 installed and indeed ktp is not usable in this state.

One of the developer states in kde bug report bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351375 that telepathy-accounts-signon is a crucial part of ktp.
