When the system starts it self, I receive e write error on /var/lib/init.d/softscripts/* (softscripts.old and softscripts.new) and all services added with rc-update doen't start, I must login and start them manually.
This error appeared from the first install, I tried to re-emerge baselayout but without success.
I used 2.4 and 2.6 kernels.

please provide the exact error message

you might want to try booting up into single user, clearning that directory (rm /var/lib/init.d/softscripts/*), and then rebooting to see if that fixes it
