This is a very strange error, because /usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/amsfonts/amssymb.sty is an unconditional part of dev-texlive/texlive-basic: $ qfile /usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/amsfonts/amssymb.sty dev-texlive/texlive-basic (/usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/amsfonts/amssymb.sty) root-docs unconditionally depends on dev-texlive/texlive-latex and texlive-latex have an unconditional dependency on texlive-basic: DEPEND=">=dev-texlive/texlive-basic-2014" Something is amiss on your system: either texmf-update was not run after latex packages install during your automated tests, or in some other way latex installation is broken. ok, just FWIW this is a chroot where I unmasked perl-5.22 wrt a request from dilfridge. Interesting... Could you please confirm that dev-texlive/texlive-basic is installed and /usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/amsfonts/amssymb.sty is present on the system? What we really have here is latex failure because it can't find package that should be installed (or pandoc calls latex in some very wrong way). If yes, please run # texmf-update and retry to build root-docs. (In reply to Andrew Savchenko from comment #3) > Interesting... Could you please confirm that dev-texlive/texlive-basic is > installed and /usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/amsfonts/amssymb.sty is > present on the system? > Hhm, it was installed ("grep dev-texlive/texlive-basic <attachment>" should show this - the history was already attached, but it was vew times uninstalled later ?) Nevertheless, I get : # qfile /usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/amsfonts/amssymb.sty dev-texlive/texlive-basic (/usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/amsfonts/amssymb.sty) # eix -I dev-texlive/texlive-basic [I] dev-texlive/texlive-basic Available versions: 2012 (~)2013 (~)2014 {doc source} Installed versions: 2014(12:54:22 AM 07/11/2015)(-doc -source) Homepage: http://www.tug.org/texlive/ Description: TeXLive Essential programs and files >If yes, please run ># texmf-update >and retry to build root-docs. # texmf-update Configuring TeXLive ... Ok, so probably just a hick-up and the chroot image. Sry for the noise. Ok, closing then. |
