Description Karol Herbst 2015-07-05 09:48:21 UTC
After emerging =sys-auth/polkit-0.113 suspending the system requires root authentication, which is pretty annoying because after I close my lid I won't see it.

the screen turns black (should indicate, that the session tries to suspend) but seconds later it turns back to normal and a polkit prompt is shown for root authentication.

it works fine with =sys-auth/polkit-0.112-r3

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge =sys-auth/polkit-0.112-r3
2. try to suspend from non root user action

Actual Results:
authentication prompt for root is shown

Expected Results:
systems goes into suspend

installed software:
=sys-apps/systemd-220-r2
=x11-misc/sddm-0.11.0-r1
=sys-power/upower-0.99.3 (bug also happen with sys-power/upower-pm-utils)
Plasma-5.3.2

It looks to occur only with KDE (or, at least, on GNOME it still works properly)
Comment 2 Karol Herbst 2015-07-12 07:53:01 UTC
don't why, but it works now. Maybe systemd had to be updated as well? Or just to be rebuilt? Or Kde Frameworks? Closing for now.
