Description David Flogeras 2015-07-03 14:48:04 UTC
Qt5 has support for NFC, bluetooth/BLE in the qtconnectivity package, but it is not yet in the tree/overlay. I'm not sure how involved adding it is, but I'm happy to test.

Reproducible: Always

Minor non-essential non-qtbase modules don't normally get packaged unless requested by users or unless they're a dependency of something else.

So, which module do you need? QtBluetooth or QtNfc? The idea is to package them separately if it's feasible.

Oh, that makes better sense. Personally, I'm interested in QBluetooth for my own development. I understand if it is not worth the effort for you until a package requires it, but also appreciate it if you can swing it :)

Have fun and report bugs please, as it's completely untested.

It'll enter the main tree together with the rest of Qt 5.5. And no, I'm not making a 5.4.2 ebuild.

Thank you very much for the stupidly fast service :) I wasn't expecting you to backport it to 5.4, sorry if I gave that impression. I look forward to testing it out.
