is it possible that you ran out of memory? I have 4 GB RAM. Monitoring it with gkrell. It never spikes beyond 2 GB. I tried MAKEOPTS="-j1" - same result. Every other package that pulled by dependency in dev-qt/* building ok. Tried 4.8.5 4.8.6-r1 ~4.8.7 - they stop every time at same place. Tried (~)5.4.1 - it builds whithout a flaw. Does it build if you replace -Os with -O2? Have built successfully with -O2. Is it normal? Never had this kind problem before. Any recommendations? It's a compiler bug. Can you try with gcc-4.9.2 (and -Os) to see if it was already fixed please? Changed to -Os. Switched to gcc-4.9.2, one-shot qtdeclarative - success. Switched to gcc-4.8.4, one-shot qtdeclarative - fail. I've committed a workaround that replaces -Os with -O2 in qtdeclarative. 13 Jun 2015; Davide Pesavento <pesa@gentoo.org> qt4-build-multilib.eclass: Workaround gcc-4.8 ICE in qtdeclarative (bug 551560). gcc-4.9 is stable now, so throwing away older bugs we don't plan on doing backports for as this should be fixed w/4.9+. please re-open if it's still an issue with 4.9.3+ though. |
