Description S. Lorsbach 2015-06-05 08:19:57 UTC
I'm using a multiboot system with Windows 7.
The os-prober tool detect it always as Windows Vista.

In the Arch Linux forums I found a solution which works for me:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1484092#p1484092

I think it would be nice to have this patch also emerged automatically in Gentoo ;)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run os-prober on a system with a Windows 7 installation, too

Actual Results:
os-prober detects Windows 7 as Windows Vista

Expected Results:
It should be named Windows 7

Confirming this. Kind of annoying, but nothing harmful. And fix is trivial
Comment 2 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2017-02-06 16:27:53 UTC
should be fixed in current stable
