This fails under py3 only dev-python/blz $ PYTHON_TARGETS=python2_7 ebuild blz-0.6.2.ebuild clean test Ran 765 tests in 5.855s OK (skipped=3) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Finally extracted a meaningful output from work/blz-0.6.2-python3_3/lib $ PYTHONPATH=. python blz/tests/test_barray.py Testing barray constructor with a float32 `dtype`. ... ok test01 (__main__.dtypesTest) Testing barray constructor with a `dtype` with an empty input. ... ok test02 (__main__.dtypesTest) Testing barray constructor with a plain compound `dtype`. ... ok test03 (__main__.dtypesTest) Testing barray constructor with a nested compound `dtype`. ... ok test04 (__main__.dtypesTest) Testing barray constructor with a string `dtype`. ... ok test05 (__main__.dtypesTest) Testing barray constructor with a unicode `dtype`. ... ok test06 (__main__.dtypesTest) Testing barray constructor with an object `dtype`. ... Segmentation fault. I bumped this around a year ago so I am guessing the state of the py3s then saw the test phase pass fine. There are around 11 distinct instances of test06 and it fails on hitting the first one. In this case I don't think just sedingthem out is prudent. from the upstream bug This is a very outdated version of bcolz. In fact it is so old, that it still exists under it's old name 'blz'. Suggest repackaging 'blz' to 'bcolz' and trying an up-to-date version. How you dug this one up Patrick I do not know. If upstream don't care, we follow in kind. |
