Comment 1 paul 2004-06-23 09:04:32 UTC
Can someone make an ebuild for this thanks
Comment 2 Tom Martin (RETIRED) 2004-06-23 09:19:44 UTC
Would this be better done by the gnome USE flag to the vanilla Xchat ebuild?
Comment 3 Hinrik Örn Sigurðsson 2004-06-29 12:57:44 UTC
Yes, it would. However, I don't think this should be added yet, this is really experimental. Very many essential features don't work yet, and I can't even exit the program without a CTRL-C.
Comment 4 Yi Quang (RETIRED) 2004-06-29 15:38:33 UTC
Like the last comment said, it's experimental and we don't have time for it.

Comment 7 Sven Wegener 2005-05-14 16:03:11 UTC
xchat-gnome seems to be quite useful now, I added it as net-irc/xchat-gnome
Comment 8 Mark Rosenstand 2005-05-15 03:13:01 UTC
Created attachment 58940 [details] xchat-gnome-0.4.ebuild I had been working on this for a while (when 0.3 was released), bug didn't feel it was mature for the public. At least the dodoc should be changed in the portage version.
Comment 9 foser (RETIRED) 2005-05-18 16:07:10 UTC
I'd have to agree that it's still pretty hmm 'alpha', but it's your choice.
