mod_perl 2.0.8 doesn't support apache 2.4. mod_perl 2.0.9 does and is currently at rc2. That said, there are mod_perl modules in portage that are not part of the the mod_perl core that may break as well. e.g., Apache-AuthCookie. we'll need a newer one. in a moment. Please keep this opened (even without CCing arches) to ensure we remember to get the newer version stabilized with apache-2.4 for not breaking stable users (in summary... keep it opened for "tracking purposes" ;)) (In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #3) > Please keep this opened (even without CCing arches) to ensure we remember to > get the newer version stabilized with apache-2.4 for not breaking stable > users (in summary... keep it opened for "tracking purposes" ;)) OK sure but then let's switch to new target (which still needs testing, but looks very promising so far). See also $URL Sure :) It looks like apache-2.4 stabilization is in progress Thanks. Yes, arches please stabilize www-apache/mod_perl-2.0.10_pre201601 Should be fine with any Perl and Apache 2.4. No data about Apache 2.2 yet, if anyone happens to test that anyway please provide feedback. (see $URL) Created attachment 425268 [details]
www-apache/mod_perl-2.0.10_pre201601 build log
At the moment, I can't get www-apache/mod_perl-2.0.10_pre201601 to emerge with www-servers/apache-2.2.31.
amd64 stable Stable on alpha. Please stabilize x86. x86 stable IMHO it doesnt make much sense to continue here since this version is still semi-broken. Let's continue in bug 597824 with 2.0.10_rc1-r1 ... |
