Even this version does not compile against python3. Inspired by C10 Bug 567944 ( https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=567944#c10 ) I made a patch and altered the ebuild slightly -- see attached. Compiles against python 3.4 and seems to work fine. Created attachment 420916 [details]

Patch to compile against Python3
(In reply to Daniel Gebhardt from comment #2) > Created attachment 420916 [details] > Ebuild vor libplist 1.12 merges without problems but has wrong slot and python-3.5 is missing in the ebuild. What is your libplist-1.12-r1.ebuild based on? A patch with your changes for the ebuild would be great. In your ebuild I see: PATCHES=( "${FILESDIR}"/${PN}-1.12-ac_python_devel.m4.patch ) I think it would be better to use: src_prepare() { epatch "${FILESDIR}"/${PN}-1.12-ac_python_devel.m4.patch } why this bug report is stuck? it's a stopper in getting many DE merged. libplist used by gnome, xfce............
