msmtp fails to install if I enable USE=doc.  It works fine if I disable the
flag.

This seems to be related to the current stable texinfo version (4.13-r2).
If I upgrade texinfo to 5.1 or 5.2, then msmtp builds successfully.

The problematic texinfo versions have been gone since forever ago.
