The current Gentoo version requires ancient LLVM. There's 2.2.1 out already, and the INSTALL states llvm-3.5. I'm going to see if it works with 3.6 as well.

Nah, works only with 3.5*. Mind me committing a plain bump?

Sure, thanks.  Yeah they're tied pretty tightly to clang/llvm internals so it's always locked to a specific version.

2.4.0 added and 2.0.1 dropped.  I'll wait a week and drop 2.1.0.
