would be also nice if we have a ebuild for it now in portage (In reply to Vincent Hardy from comment #0) > Compared to Veracrypt (https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=522186), > GostCrypt is licensed under the GPL3. From GostCrypt Changelog : All the GostCrypt code has been finally be put under the original TrueCrypt licence following recommandations by people from the OCAP (see also http://arstechnica.com/security/2014/06/following-truecrypts-bombshell-advisory-developer-says-fork-is-impossible/) .This is the most suitable option to solve licences incompatibility. There is an ebuild for GostCrypt on linuxunderground-overlay https://github.com/linuxunderground/gentoo.overlay/tree/master/app-crypt/gostcrypt There have been lot of changes for this fork of TrueCrypt. We can consider this version 1.0 of GostCrypt a bit like a beta version. For more informations, see announcements here : http://www.gostcrypt.org/wiki/doku.php?id=start known issues : tests are successful only on amd64 for x86 and arm ARCH : $ gostcrypt --text --test Error: TestFailed at GostCrypt::TestCipher:62 |
