AxKit-XSP-Param
Hold on, I'm not sure how many more packages I'm willing to add into dev-perl. I certainly don't want to see all of cpan in there. Have any plans where else the packages should be placed? ok, this is a real pain. im not going to waste my time clicking on download attachment, and save file, etc forever here, sorry! there are no version numbers on these attachments either. please version these ebuilds, and just make an evil tarball that i can unpack in dev-perl. unless seemant has other, more grand plans for perl modules, hmm? ;-) Created attachment 6837 [details]
ebuild and digest files in one archive
Okey, the initial bug report was really a mess!
Now, it's all in one tar-archive.
The new ebuild's use the perl-module eclass to simplify maintainance.
seemant; i really dont know what to do about this. what with the rule that perl modules are only allowed if they are dependencies of other packages, and with the whole gentoo cpan thing, i dunno what you wanna do with this. the submitter has kindly created a single tarball though ... i leave this to your good offices to decide. hi Markus, we're working on a way to incorporate CPAN's functionality directly into portage. In fact, there is a g-cpan.pl script that is distributed with portage these days which will create ebuilds dynamically for perl modules. I had a look at your tarball, and unfortunately none of the packages you submitted can be added into portage, because they all depend on other perl modules. Currently, only those perl modules who depend on non-perl-modules will be considered for addition to the portage tree. For the rest, we offer g-cpan.pl (the functionality will be added to portage itself soon). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 3450 *** Thank you very much. The script works great. But CPAN native support in Portage would be really great. This would solve some little Problems for me. Great Work!!! |
