Hi,

The Gentoo Distcc guide gives an example make.conf in Code Listing 2.2.  It explains to set MAKEOPTS="-jN", and that "A common heuristic strategy is twice the number of CPUs + 1".

I think this means the total number of CPU's in all of the computers, and not the number of CPUs in each computer, but I'm not exactly sure.  If that's the case, maybe just adding the word "total" would be helpful, like "twice the total number of CPUs + 1".
