Description Christopher Head 2015-04-01 04:38:24 UTC
media-libs/mediastreamer-2.9.0 is the latest stable version of that package. It requires >=net-libs/ortp-0.21.0.

net-voip/linphone-3.5.2 is the latest stable version of that package. It requires <net-libs/ortp-0.22.0.

There is no version of net-libs/ortp in the tree that satisfies both conditions (nearest versions are 0.20.0, too old for mediastreamer, and 0.22.0, too new for linphone). Thus any attempt to emerge linphone fails.

Reproducible: Always

this is quite annoying especially considering the fact that mediastreamer is in linphone's dependencies ... :-(

I'm not sure I'm getting bug 546370#c6 - so you intend to fix linphone 3.5.2, and then stabilize 3.6.1?

if 3.5.2 is "utter crap", wouldn't it be better just to drop it and put all the efforts in stabilizing 3.6.1?

linphone-3.5* need =mediastreamer-2.8*, dependencies are fixed in the tree now.

This very problem is fixed now.

My main goal will be to add 3.8 to the tree, when I'll have time. This is not trivial and will involve bump of other packages. Only afterwards I'll proceed with stabilization of 3.6 branch (or maybe 3.8 depending on circumstances).
