Ebuild submissions would be appreciated... please look at the documentation or ask for help through IRC/forums. Created attachment 54641 [details]
lsongs-0.2.7.ebuild
It depends on 4 packages without a ebuild, so I have not been able to test it.
pyxine ebuild, needed by lsongs Created attachment 54643 [details]
lsongs-0.2.7.ebuild
Small fix. I think Lsongs now will work when thew dependencyes are in place
Created attachment 54644 [details]
lphoto-1.0.54.ebuild
Lphoto, only downloads the package. I also think I got all the dependencyes
down. (4 missing) I will probably lose my possibility to download for a while
now, so if anybody else wants to finish this it would be great. (I hope to
finish Lsongs before it happens)
http://software.linspire.com/pool-src/l/lsongs/ ^ they're to 0.2.31 now. I'm interested in tinkering with lsongs/lphoto, so I'll see if I can make the ebuilds required to make both compile. Created attachment 63938 [details]
dev-python/pynjb-0.1.0-r5.ebuild
ebuild for pynjb, their Python library for accessing Creative and Dell media
players.
As for the naming... they had 6 versions of 0.1.0 on their website. I figured 0
was no -r, -r1 would be 1, -r2 is 2, and so on. If this is inappropriate, feel
free to change it.
Works fine for me as it is. Time to satisfy other deps, hoo-yah!
Can someone update the URL to say "http://www.lsongs.com/" since the current URL links to the CNR version? And CNR doesn't run on Gentoo, for obvious reasons (i.e. we're neither Debian nor Linspire). I'm currently resolving an issue with media-sound/linspire-daapd with the Lsongs developers, but other than that, it should be merging soon. Created attachment 64316 [details]
lsongs-0.2.7.ebuild
changed URL
I meant the URL in Bugzilla, actually, but that works too :). I've actually made a patch against linspire-daapd's makefile to make it work, but I cannot get epatch to apply it. So I'm doing some hackery here to see if I can make it work :). Created attachment 64318 [details]
media-sound/linspire-daapd-0.2.3d.ebuild
ebuild for Linspire DAAP Daemon (the only difference is that linspire-daapd can
read an Apple Property List file [like that used in iTunes] and scan that as
the library). I'll attach the required files/ directory next.

net-misc/howl-xml-0.1.0.ebuild
net-misc/howl-xml-0.1.0.ebuild
Lsongs uses this to formulate Howl queries using XML.
Created attachment 64389 [details]
media-sound/trmxml-0.1.4.ebuild
media-sound/trmxml-0.1.4.ebuild
A wrapper for Musicbrainz that outputs an Apple XML Property List file with the
recognized contents.
This ebuild is not up to Gentoo quality (and howl-xml arguably isn't either),
I'll fix it after I get lsongs working.
Oh, d'oh. trmxml needs to depend on id3lib as well. I'll fix it when I fix the ebuild. Created attachment 64397 [details]
media-sound/lsongs-0.2.31.ebuild
And the moment you've all been waiting for... Lsongs! It won't work on KDE 3.4
due to the fact that PyKDE doesn't work on KDE 3.4, but the latest PyKDE
snapshot does work on KDE 3.4. I'll post an ebuild for PyKDE3-snapshot as well.
Created attachment 64398 [details]
dev-python/pykde-3.20050628.ebuild
Needed for Lsongs to work on KDE 3.4. This ebuild is **incompatible** with
versions of KDE other than 3.4. If someone knows of an eclass function I can
use to get KDE's $PREFIX (/usr/kde/3.4, /usr/kde/3.3, and so on), please do
tell me :).
Sveinung Kvilhaugsvik, can you mark your lsongs ebuilds obsolete (click "edit" and check obsolete), since now we have a working ebuild? Thanks. (I'm not a Gentoo-dev, or I'd do it myself) Created attachment 64399 [details]
media-sound/trmxml-0.1.4-r1.ebuild
Fixed trmxml.
Created attachment 64549 [details]
media-sound/lsongs-0.2.34.ebuild
New Lsongs update. Adds read-only iPod support.
Created attachment 77621 [details]
dev-python/pykde-3.20060118.ebuild
Updated to newer version of pykde.
Old ebuild did not work for me (URI seems to have moved).
Created attachment 77622 [details]
media-libs/libipod-0.1.ebuild
The newest version of lsongs needs libipod.
Created attachment 77623 [details]
media-sound/lsongs-0.2.46.ebuild
Newest version of lsongs.

*** Bug 145379 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** (In reply to comment #24) > Created an attachment (id=81614) [edit] > lphoto-1.0.68 > I'm not a dev, so I won't pretend to offer a usable patch for your ebuild. However, in my playing with this I've found that you need to make sure that dev-python/imaging is built with the scanner use flag. (this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy.
