I recently bought a compaq like this one and i always need to patch the kernel sources, it doesnt bother me, but can be great to have this patch on at least on gentoo-dev-sources, and in the next release have on amd64 livecd a kernel for those compaq laptops like the one for emachines. ALPS PATCH: http://cmb.phys.cwru.edu/kisner/linux/compaq-r3000/alps.patch This is no amd64 buisness. Reassigning to x86-kernel@g.o patch needs to be sent to upstream. Open a bug at bugzilla.kernel.org with the patch or just send it to the input subsystem kernel maintainer. Will not accept add-on driver patches to the gentoo-dev-sources package. |
