Bumped the portage ebuild for 
wasteland_2_digital_classic_edition/linux/gog_wasteland_2_1.9.0.13.tar.gz and it works here.

Regarding the Deluxe edition message in the ebuild, the installer is the same for both the Classic and Deluxe versions (according to a GoG employee in their Wasteland forums).
