updated manifest
Apparently the file jdk-8u40-linux-x64.tar.gz changed slightly so the checksums now fail. I updated the manifest for only this file. BR, Max The filesize and checksum in the manifest for jdk-8U40-linux-i586.tar.gz are also incorrect, causing installation to bail. The rsync mirrors have an updated Manifest as of 13th March 2015. Please ignore my previous. Please read carefully. * * Oracle requires you to download the needed files manually after * accepting their license through a javascript capable web browser. * * Download the following files: * jdk-8u40-linux-x64-demos.tar.gz * at 'http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html' * and move them to '/usr/portage/distfiles' * * If the above mentioned urls do not point to the correct version anymore, * please download the files from Oracle's java download archive: * * http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-javase8-2177648.html#jdk-8u40-oth-JPR * It gives both links. The archive link is there for the (hopefully short) period between them releasing a new version and us getting round to bumping it in the tree. I actually bumped it on the day of release this time, only for them to go and change the checksums a week later. I had to download 1.2GB all over again. This frustrated me. I may not bump it so quickly next time. *** Bug 544986 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
