This is a problem specific with portage apparently per gerk not portage problem, was a problem with your portage you rsynced, I think there is a bad rsync mirror in rotation, I got a couple of very old rsync's recently Seemant and myself found problem last night, there was a bad rsync mirror handing out corrupted files, it has been found and removed from rotation. closing |
Machine: iMac G3/400 Build: Current PPC 1.2-b ISO Using the latest test ISO, I ran a full stage 3 install, incluing emerge rsync, edited the fstab, and did an emerge rdate. it fetched installed and said I had a config file to update, so instead of manually doing it, I ran emerge etc-update and got the following error: (none) root # emerge gentoolkit Calculating dependencies ...done! >>> emerge dev-util/dialog-0.9_beta20020519 to / !!!
