This is a new version of the computer algebra system Macaulay2.  This pre-release is the last version that can be compiled without an internal patched version of mpir and mpfr which upstream introduced.  We should stabilize it since it is better than the current stable and the current stable depends on EAPI=2 ebuilds.

Installing this package runs many checks, so if you can install it, consider it checked.
