*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 54223 *** This is no duplicate. It fails even if i remove that folder and i don't get any errors like Arnaud did. I ran emerge in debug mode.. and i only got a little more. register uno component: /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-bin-1.1.2/image//opt/OpenOffice.org/program/libsvg645li.so register uno component: /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-bin-1.1.2/image//opt/OpenOffice.org/program/libflash645li.so register uno component: /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-bin-1.1.2/image//opt/OpenOffice.org/program/liblth645li.so register uno component: /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-bin-1.1.2/image//opt/OpenOffice.org/program/pythonloader.uno.so+ diefunc src_install 92 1 'The setup program failed' + local funcname=src_install lineno=92 exitcode=1 + shift 3 I have no permissions errors, which is weird.. usally if reiser4 acted up, I would get one, and I just upgraded reiser4progs and updated the snapshot on my kernel after i made my last report, so I doubt this is a reiser4 problem now. It might be a reiser4 issue... from a fresh Gentoo install trying to emerge openoffice-bin (1.1.2) I see the following in the kernel message buffer: reiser4[setup.bin(32235)]: tail2extent (fs/reiser4/plugin/file/tail_conversion.c:397)[nikita-2282]: WARNING: Partial conversion of 9371803: -17 reiser4[setup.bin(32235)]: setattr_truncate (fs/reiser4/plugin/file/file.c:2345)[vs-1588]: WARNING: truncate_file failed: oid 9371803, old size 16384, new size 32768, retval -17 Putting /var/tmp/portage into an ext3 partition and retrying the emerge yields a successful install. reiser4progs 0.5.5 love-sources 2.6.7-rc3-love2 (reiser4-2.6.7-rc3-mm1-2004.06.11.patch.bz2) This bug probably could be moved from the openoffice queue and into some sort of reiser4-related queue. I will try to find a newer reiser4 snapshot and see if that fixes the issue. confirmed btw, using the reiser4 snapshot on 2.6.7-rc3-love2. I'll see if this still occurs when the next love patchset comes out Any update on that issue? this doesn't appear to affect later snapshots anymore, so i am closing this as fixed. It also might be related to that other bug.. however i believe this was a reiser4 issue. closed, this is dead |
