media-tv/gentoo-vdr-scripts installs an init script with "need net"

However, vdr functions just fine in the default configuration with net.lo

Perhaps remove the "need net" and add rc_need=net.lo to the default /etc/conf.d/vdr and a comment to change that if you want to listen on a different interface?

Oops, I thought I had updated to latest gentoo-vdr-scripts, but the emerge failed for a bizarre reason; this is already fixed in the latest version.
