When playing video of any kind my system will freeze at random times. These videos usually are local content played via mplayer or streaming content played via flash on various websites. Normally my system will, after 5-15 seconds, respond again but occasionally it lasts longer. This is reproducable by simply watching video content.

My setup:

Thinkpad 420
Video card: intel HD 3000
Kernel: 3.19.0
Video card driver: i915

xorg-server: 1.15.2-r1
xf86-video-intel: 2.99.917

As can be seen from your kernel log, you are using an old xen kernel. Please try the latest non-virtualized vanilla or gentoo kernel.

This machine doesn't actually boot using the xen hypervisor kernel. The xen string was merely added during compilation of the kernel which is currently at version 3.19.0.

Please advise.

3.19 is not in longterm support, please switch to a different kernel and check if the problem is till present.
